Since 2017, Brian Orr has found success as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at East Tennessee Concerts, a one-man business through which he promotes shows, secures high-quality venues, and handles food and booking accommodations for audiences. He’s been directly involved in more than 30 major concerts annually. In addition to this role, he has already been a concert and music promoter since 2016, as well as a gospel, country, and bluegrass music arranger. He attributes his success in the music industry to his ability to establish and maintain professional relationships through networking, along with his strong belief in God.
When he was starting out as a gospel music promoter, Mr. Orr, a Tennessee native, worked in Nashville, where he made friends with someone in booking; through him, he connected with Marty Raybon, lead singer of the popular country band Shenandoah, with whom he collaborated. This experience made him famous in his hometown of Chattanooga, and opportunities started opening up for him, leading him further into the country music realm. He sees his career progression from arranging songs to owning his own business as a testament to his hard work, dedication, and passion for music. His entrepreneurial spirit and strong business acumen have been instrumental in establishing his company as a prominent player in the concert industry.
Mr. Orr maintains a further connection to his field as a member of the International Bluegrass Association, Gospel Music Association, Academy of Country Music, and Country Music Association; he has previously been affiliated with the International Entertainment Buyer Association and served as Co-Chief Executive Officer of the North America Country Music Hall of Fame and North America Country Music Association International. Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. Orr has been an active volunteer at local homeless shelters, primarily assembling gift bags for the holidays.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Orr aspires to continue providing high-quality and wholesome entertainment that caters to the needs and preferences of families and communities and intends to continue booking music and artists.
